Honestly I think Dean is and not for the obvious reasons, but I think he's so used to giving everyone everything that yes he's in it for himself but I think he'd be very attentive. Not to mention the boy doesn't ever get any kind of physical affection as a norm that go beyond sex, a hug now and then and it's rare so I'm sure even though he doesn't act it, he actually is very careful with the chances he's afforded.
