Sam's only remembering the bits that suit him at the moment. I guess it's the first phase of him dealing with what happened between them. Hopefully in the next part he's gonna remember the bits that leave some of the blame at his feet too, so he can start thinking about Dean's side of the story some.

And maybe hopefully too, he'll start remembering some of his observations of Dean from his unfamiliar point of view in the hospital, where he realised things like just HOW MUCH Dean sacrifices his own needs and wants in favour of Sam's, and when Sam realised that even though Dean couldn't say it, he loved Sam so much, cos maybe then Sam'd realise that it wasn't just some freaky lust thing for Dean, and maybe he could forgive him?

I want the boys to be happy, dammit! :(
