Do you find that the fandom now has readable stories, coming into the fifth season?
It was already fine via the end of Season 1, when the BNFs started dropping in : ) I guess the beginning of a fandom is never really that much fun, because usually you only get little fic snippets, people are still trying to map out the characters and generally there is not *enough* around to read. In the beginning of this fandom I was so desperate that I read absolutely everything that turned up *g* I was happy when I found something that I deemed "readable" - "great" fic was still something to look forward to, while you wondered if the show were to survive the first 13 episodes ; ) Even though it was clear, that if SPN would live beyond that, SPN fandom would become big.
Any recs?
