Yeah, I noticed on your delicious you had a lot of stuff that amothea had, so I think I should be able to find more goodies on your list!

Just be aware that since I'm not a native speaker I might not always realized when the author's style is grammatically weird ; ) I mean, can pinpoint the really good stuff, but I might not be as discouraged by average bland writing style as a native speaker - as long as I like the plot.

It's Sam's summer of hell, and the hardest part is not letting it go all mushy and sweet, like I really really want it to.

And you did a really great job of not letting it get all mushy.

Phantom Load is detailed but not lurid. I didn't write it to titillate, and it's not porn.

Okay : ) I already decided to put in my reading queue yesterday. So it will get read, I just don't know when yet.

Yes, Maygra! She certainly grabbed the brass ring there, setting the standards quite, quite high for quality and detail, which I adore. I love her stuff.

Yes, she's a great writer. Though she sometimes moves off into spheres that are way beyond me. For example the second part of "Out of this Darkness" went way over my head. I absolutely adored the first half (there's this scene at the end of that part that just blows you away) - and then the second half left me with tons of question marks over my head *g*

I tend to enjoy gen when its rec'd, because its harder to get dramatic impact in gen, sometimes the stories feel a little flat to me. But when they're good, they're REALLY good.

I only ever touch gen when it has been rec'd - or if I know the author can write. So I never really touched the bad stuff. I very much enjoy a good gen story from time to time, but I guess my first love will always be (first-time) slash fic. (I think my issues with established relationship fic are even greater than with gen *g*)
