I really enjoyed this. I've read it twice since I saw maerhys rec it, and it's just entrancing. You drew such a clear picture of the hospital, and I love that you didn't make the doctors and orderlies into stereotypes. Some of them were more likeable than others but they all felt very real. The slow build to the Sam/Dean was great, and I completely bought all of Dean's motivations, and rationalizations. You picked up perfectly on how hard he tries to do the right thing by Sam, whatever the consequences to himself. This is one of the very best fics I read this summer.
