I'm so thrilled to be back in this 'verse again. This is another outstanding installment. You've captured the contradictions of pubescent Sammy so well: he manned up enough to take the blame and spare Dean -- a big step for him -- but at the same time he's still child enough to be oblivious to the fact that they all nearly died.
I have a soft spot for John, so I especially enjoyed how clearly we could see his terror over nearly losing the boys, and his tenderness while doctoring Sammy and making the camp spaghetti more palatable for him -- all still juxtaposed with the harsh disciplinarian that John always is.
