Aw, I loved the fishing trip. A little touch of normal before everything went downhill again. They all deserved it. I have to admit, though, I squinted through the whole fish killing. Poor fishie.

Why, oh why, did Sam go into the river?! Has he never seen Little House on the Prairie or Ronja Robbersdaughter? Bad things happen to kids in fast rivers. I knew they were going to get out alive and it still gave me shivers.

On the other hand, yay for Sam going in, because it brought us the eagerly awaited switching. :D For the record, I do feel bad for being so gleeful about it. Yes, yes, I do. Very bad. *cough*

I laughed hard at Sam's dinner troubles. After everything that happened, stewed tomato chunks were the final straw. It was as if the whole sucky day could have been saved with a meal after Sam's liking, and then Dad came with tomato chunks. Obviously on purpose. I'm sure it made perfect sense to Sam, but I found it hilarious.

And, oh, that beautiful, beautiful ending. As much as I love the harshness of the summer, I've been longing for some bedtime comforting from Dean and almost snuggling, and you delivered. ♥♥♥ I, uh, I might have something in my eye again.

Can I bribe you with something to never stop writing in this verse? Cookies, chocolate? I make a mean Black Forest cake, too. ;)

Thanks so much for sharing!
