Henry vouched for some reporter (from LA Weekly?) who was in the room briefly during... hmm... maybe the opening panel. He introduced himself to us and got grilled a little. He was supposed to be attending the 4th Wall panel, but I didn't go, so I have no idea if he was there. He did spend some time in that room next to the hotel restaurant, waiting for volunteers to be interviewed. His specialty seems to be some other kind of fan practices, and he very obviously lacked background on slash and media fandom, but he was pleasant enough. I don't think I saw anyone else other than Henry, but I assume he was attending as a fan, not primarily as an academic.
