A while back [livejournal.com profile] chemm80 asked for permission to do a podfic of my SPN Big Bang for 2010. I was so amazed and flattered to be asked, so of course I said yes.

Then just today, I started getting all kinds of notices, and not only is the podfic posted at her journal, it is also posted at jinjurly.com, which is the big home on the internet to so many wonderful podfics.

I very quickly listened to the first two minutes....which turned into me listening to the whole first chapter. I don't suck as a writer, but having someone read the story out loud with style and pacing and a very fine speaking voice, made the story even BETTER than I could have imagined.

I don't know if every writer who gets something of theirs podficced runs around giggling for an entire day, but I did. Still am. What a thrill this is, what fun!

A big thank you to cheemm80 and to cybel who runs jinjurly.com; I really really really feel loved right about now.

I just downloaded it! And am planning to listen on my way into work tomorrow... I'm so happy this is a podfic. I'm so lazy that I actually do prefer to listen to podfic than reading something, plus my commute takes hour and a half so good listening material is very important business ;P

I have to also say that I agree with you - when I listened to the podfic of one of my fics, I just burst out laughing, it seemed so weird. I did eventually get over it and listen to the entire thing, and like you say, it's really useful to see where you could've written something better or differently.

That's a mighty long commute you have there, so I hope the story makes it at least a little bit better.

And oh yes, I heard plot holes I didn't even know I had! Still, it was such a pleasure to be read like that. : D
