Good question...it's because when I did my first poll on this issue, the Wincest "When" Poll

and then came up with a "Pinpoint the Moment" Poll to try and narrow it down a bit. I was surprised, you see, that most people thought it happened pre series the first time. : D

Probably because some of the best fics are all pre-series. Even though there's zero evidence for it, hah.
