Blue Skies From Rain is now posted on the AO3.

I've probably done it all wrong, but it's up there. I made it a series of four parts, rather than try to post 29 chapters. Each heading indicates which chapters are included in that part of the series. When I have more time, I'm going to try and update the text with bookmarks and links, so readers can get to each chapter quickly.

Yes, I'm doing this instead of chores, but wouldn't you? The AO3 is so easy to work with, it makes me wish I'd written more.  At any rate, here's more of what's been posted to the AO3:

The Auction Verse - Originally the first story, The Blind Auction Diversion, was written in response to a prompt about putting Willie in a difficult situation with a bid for an auction that goes horribly, horribly wrong. Well it does, as it always does, but I had such fun with the characters that I introduced here that there are three more stories in this verse, in order: In Exile, Two Roads Divided, and Beyond Forgiveness.

The Splinter Verse - Willie's tasked with unpacking antique books that his vampire master, Barnabas Collins, ordered. Alas, in his hurry, he screws up and drops an entire crate of very valuable books. Barnabas determines that he will take the cost of the books out of Willie's hide, and then slashiness ensues.  There are four more stories in this verse, in order: The Price, Piece of Sky, State of Grace, and Faith in the Atmosphere.

Fleet of Stars Verse - Buzz, the cool beatnik and one-time boyfriend of Carolyn Stoddard on Dark Shadows, is not fazed by the big money of the Collins clan. In this story he is about to embark upon a journey to the west coast. As he prepares, he meets up with Willie, and invites him for a ride on his bike and a drink on the beach.

Breath of Heaven is now posted on AO3.

Dark Shadows is not a fandom where you can find a lot of stories online; as far as I can tell, anyway. Most of the stories are in zines, and most of the stories are about Barnabas and Josette and the rest of the upper crust of Collinsport. Not many are interested in Willie's story, or what's going on with him, or how hard he works while the rest of the gang drinks brandy in the Front Room. Which is a shame, because the dynamics between Willie and Barnabas, or between Willie and Jason McGuire, or, heck, between Willie and any character is far more exciting to watch because Willie has a Big Secret that he has to keep on Pain of Death. Sure, everyone has secrets in Collinsport, but Willie's Big Secret is BIG. And the changes in his character from the time he arrived as a thief to the time he works for Barnabas Collins up at the Old House are riveting. At least to me. Which is probably why I wrote so many stories about him.

The Willie and Barnabas Diversion is now posted on AO3.

This is one of the few stories I wrote that takes place after Willie gets out of the loony bin. I thought his character wasn't as interesting in this weakened state, yet, one very hot August week, this story came to me. Go figure. This is also the only one of my Dark Shadows stories in which Julia Hoffman appears.

The Nicholas Diversion is now posted on AO3.

God, I love the AO3. Posting is a breeze. Corrections are a breeze. I think each post in the archive can accept up to 50,000 words, which is five times more than live journal can take. The whole thing is set up for exactly what it needs to be, a place to post and share stories. Then there's that swank epub download for ereaders, what an easy thing to do!

Normally I go to Fan Fiction on the Run for my ebooks, but if [personal profile] amalthia hasn't been creating enough SGA ebooks for me like she ought to as my BFF, then I can go to the AO3 and find some for myself. (Which amalthia would only encourage, as she doesn't want to "enable" me in these sorts of things. She's all about growth and self-sufficiency, damnit.)

The Earring Diversion is now on AO3.

This was an early story in my Dark Shadows writing era; I think it fumbles for the dramatic, but even if it doesn't get there, at least it reaches.

Ordinary Day is now posted on AO3.

Before I wrote fic for Supernatural, I wrote Dark Shadows fic, namely stories about Willie Loomis, who I adored writing about because he's such a mess and can't seem to stay out of trouble.

All of my Sparta Verse stories have now been posted on AO3. You can find them here.

I think I enjoy the Sparta stories most of all, because I love working with a young Sam, who is frustrated and annoyed at every other turn, and can't seem to keep his mouth shut, even when it will do him the most good. I love it that he's brave, even when he's scared, and I love how he adores Dean with all his heart and soul. As for how he feels about John, well, he's got good days and bad days.

Fairy Lights and the sequel Desert Water were the first stories I wrote in the Supernatural fandom. I was new to the whole wincest thing, and the show had just ended Season 2, and I was still reeling from Dean making the deal with the crossroads demon. I was determined, as I'm sure were a lot of other fans at the time, to SAVE Dean from hell. It didn't work, but I got these two stories to show for my efforts.

Fairy Lights starts directly after All Hell Breaks Loose - Part 2; and is basically a roadtrip story with a nice twist.
Here's a link to Fairy Lights on live journal.

Desert Water is a sequel to Fairy Lights and displays my on and off obsession with the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona.
